As the summer is heating up, especially here in France, I find myself searching for the fruit smoothies. I posted this recipe last year but it is such an amazing drink. The cool thing about smoothies, is you can change it up as much as you want and there are no real rules.
Smoothies are a great breakfast alternative. This smoothie is so fresh, tasty an fruity. This recipe is so quick and simple you have got to try it.
I used to go to the shopping center in my city and my mu mum and I would go get a "Mango Tango" which is the drink which inspired me to create this marvelous drink.
This recipe requires frozen fruit. You can buy frozen fruit at most supermarkets or you can freeze fresh fruit that is going off. It’s a great way to cut costs.
Here is my recipe for the amazing Mango Tango smoothie:
300g of frozen mango
1 chopped banana (ripe)
1 cup of orange juice
2 scoops of plain yogurt ice cream
a couple of strawberries
This recipe is so easy you can find all the ingredients at the supermarket. If you can't find frozen fruit just buy fresh and put it in the freezer. It's the same thing when it comes to plain yogurt ice cream you can use just regular fridge or freezer don't be just a second
You will also need:
Food processor/ Blender
2 glasses for serving ( I really like the Jar glasses)
So lets get going:
start by putting the banana, frozen mango and orange juice in the food processor.
Add the yoghurt ice cream and blitz on a high speed until everything is combined
Add more orange juice if needed to loosen up the mixture
Serve in glasses immediately with a couple of strawberries
